What's with Bloody Mary garnishes?  Suddenly it appears like there's a race to "one-up" the next bar with an ever-growing assortment of garnishes.  Now a bar in Milwaukee has added fuel to the fire an entire fried chicken as a garnish.

My take on Bloody Mary garnishes - keep them simple and classic:  A stalk of celery, pickle, maybe an olive or a shrimp.  Once you start adding other items, it's no longer a drink that you can truly enjoy and some of the flavors of the weird garnishes start to take-over the flavor of the drink itself.
