Guns N’ Roses Cancels Target Field Show, Will Play Xcel Energy Center

Things had been very quiet regarding the Guns N' Roses show that was scheduled for July 16 at Target Field in Minneapolis. As of last week the date was still on the tour calendar and in Ticketmaster, but there were still plenty of seats available and no real push to ramp up ticket sales with the show seemingly just over a month away. Now we know why.

Those who purchased tickets to see the Guns N' Roses Target Field date were greeted by a Ticketmaster e-mail Tuesday morning that stated the show has been cancelled.  Not postponed, but cancelled outright and that ticket refunds were being processed.

That was the bad news, but the good news is that the band will still be coming to Minnesota in 2021, only now they are booked to play at Xcel Energy Center on Tuesday, September 21.

While tickets for the Target Field gig are not valid for the Xcel Energy Center date, which is why refunds are being processed, those who purchased tickets for Target Field were given a pre-sale opportunity for the new date and venue.

That and other presale opportunities began at noon on Tuesday, June 1. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at noon on Friday, June 4,

Guns N' Roses also announced the opening for them on the tour this summer, including the Xcel Energy Center show, will be Mammoth WVH. Mammoth WVH is fronted by Wolfgang Van Halen who is, of course, the son of the late, great Eddie Van Halen.

Mammoth WVH is releasing their highly anticipated debut album this year and rock fans should make a point to get to their seats early so they don't miss what should be a great show from a very talented man and band.
