Go Now, Moody Blues, Rayman’s Song Of The Day
The Moody Blues were formed on this day in 1964. Six months later they had their first hit record "Go Now", number one in England and number ten in America. They were unable to record a follow up, and the band was close to calling it quits when fate stepped in.
Home stereo's were popular in America by 1958, in England however, stereo's were not common by 1966. Decca had come up with "Deramic Stereo," which offered a wide spread of sound, and was trying to market it with an LP that would serve as a showcase, using pop/rock done in a classical style. Decca chose the Moody Blues to record such an album, with the result being the album" Days of Future Passed." The album sold millions, the Moody Blues were back on track, and they never looked back.
