If you drink so-called nutritional dairy-replacement or supplement drinks, you'll want to know about the widespread recall that's been issued. Lyons Magnus LLC - the manufacturer of a large number of these popular beverages - has issued a voluntary recall due to the potential for microbial contamination.
Name brands included in the recall effort include Glucerna, Oatly, Premier Protein, Intelligentsia, Kate Farms, and others. The recall is nationwide, so it affects products found on store shelves in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
According to details shared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the recall was initiated after internal methods determined that the products in question "did not meet commercial sterility specifications". As of right now, no medical issues, illnesses, of complaints from the general public. It's also worth noting that "the list of recalled products does not include products intended for infants (i.e. under the age of one)".
