It's so fun to ice skate indoors, where you don't have to worry about the weather and the elements. The Heritage is featuring a free family skate where there will be military service members to answer questions and talk about their service. There is also an opportunity to help the food shelves of the area.

Here are the details according to a press release from the City Of Duluth:

The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation and several partners are offering up a fun filled free skating event on November 16, from 6:30-8:00 PM at the Essentia Health Heritage Sports Center, 120 S. 30th Ave West. There will be fun activities such as making cards for our military who are serving overseas and kids can meet with local military service members. Kids can participate in turkey bowling and listen to music while enjoying healthy treats provided by Whole Foods Co-op.

The free event is co-sponsored by the City of Duluth, Essentia Health Heritage Sports Center, Boys and Girls Club of the Northland, and Whole Foods Co-op.
