Free Fun This Weekend At Wisconsin State Parks; Wisconsin Department Of Natural Resources Invites Everyone To Enjoy The Park System June 6 And 7
Here's something fun for the entire family this weekend - and it's absolutely free! June 6 and 7 is the annual Free Fun Weekend at those parks and trails that are governed by the WIDNR. Simply put - you're invited to use the parks and trails without having to buy the usual day or season passes.
Locally there are two state parks in our area: Amnicon Falls State Park - located just east of Superior off of Highway 2 and Pattison State Park - located to the south of Superior on Highway 35.
Residents are also encouraged to try fishing on those days. For June 5 and June 6, Wisconsin residents don't need a license to fish in state waters. A reminder that the usual limits and guidelines do still apply.
If you operate an ATV or UTV, you can also use those machines without a trail pass or registration.
