Former Popular Wisconsin Strip Club Has Transformed Into A Christian School
What was once the popular 'Spearmint Rhino' club in Wisconsin, has since been transformed. It will now be a place that the Ozaukee Christian School will call home.
The Spearmint Rhino Gentleman's Club opened in 2013 along Highway 33. The club closed not too long after due to the West Bend Common Council passing a cabaret ordinance which prohibits adult entertainment within the city limits. The club was part of a national chain based out of California.
According to TMJ4, The Ozaukee Christian School bought the 40-acre property back in 2019. After years of renovating (which Covid didn't help at all), the school is finally ready to open. In addition to the gentleman's club that was located at a strip mall (Trenton Business Center), the school will also have a shopping center.
Renovations for the 22,000-square foot building will be enough space for 150 students. There are no longer stages lined with poles, as the building is now ready to host classrooms for kindergartners, first graders, and second graders.
The school had a ribbon cutting ceremony this past Monday (August 25th) and even had people tour the new facility. The doors were open to friends, families, alumni, prayer warriors, donors, neighbors, and anyone in the community.
The school is located at 1214 WI-33 in West Bend. It's about a six hour drive from Duluth, as the school is near Milwaukee. You can check out a video from the news station here.
