Faulty bolts used in the seats and seat belts is to blame for the recall of nearly 117,000 Ford F150, Escape SUV, and Lincoln MKC's manufactured in 2014 and 2015.  Ford Motor Company has issued the recall to address the issue.

According to the company, the bolts were improperly tempered and could fracture in a sudden stop or crash.  The bolts are included in the design of the seats, seat backs, and seat belts of the affected models.
