East 5th/North 12th Street Closure In Superior

The city of Superior is alerting the general public about a last-minute street closure that will occur Tuesday and Wednesday, April 24 and April 25 at the Union Pacific Railroad crossing - near East 5th Street and North 12th Street.  Work crews with the Union Pacific Railroad will be replacing the train crossing at that point and need to close the street down in order to make the necessary repairs.

During the work, a detour will be in place.  Drivers are urged to follow the signs - using Belknap Street and Poplar Avenue.

At this point it looks like the work will be finished on Wednesday, but drivers should be aware that weather, equipment, or other delays could change that timeline.
