The Lundeen Group made the announcement and said it was to follow the guidelines set forth by the State Of Minnesota.

Lundeen said in a press release that the COVID-19 Pandemic was to blame and that it was almost impossible to have the event be the same and still offer the same expectations to show attendees and be able to service the show exhibitors.

The 33rd Annual Duluth Wedding Show is being moved from Saturday, January 9th, 2021 to Sunday, March 14th, 2021. That is the silver lining in the announcement, that the Duluth Wedding Show is not canceled only postponed. Hopefully, things will be different and the DECC will be open to welcome people and exhibitors.

Tracy Lundeen also said in the press release that it is hard for the wedding, banquet, service, hospitality, and special event industries that make money from weddings and events to have fallen on hard times and this is just another blow. Lundeen went on to say he will continue to be a strong advocate for the industry and hope for a January plan that will help the industry and allow exhibitors to show their services to prospective clients.

Lundeen then said he is looking ahead and in the statement said he looks forward to when the show goes forward to feature experts in wedding planning, show-off gowns, and tuxedos. People will be able to see venues, caterers, honeymoon and destination wedding getaways, wedding planners, photographers, limo services, flower stores and arrangers, music providers, and more.
