This afternoon, the Duluth Police Department responded to a call regarding a dog that was left unattended in a locked vehicle with its windows rolled up.  With the aid of Animal Control, they were able to unlock the vehicle and rescue the dog from the rising temperatures inside.

A reminder that it is never okay to leave a pet unattended in a vehicle with the windows rolled up.  Even if the outside temperatures here in the Twin Ports are cooled by the wind off the lake, unventilated areas like an automobile can quickly allow the mercury to rise.
