The Duluth Police Department announced that it received a gift for K9 unit Vili, a new protective vest with a touching tribute.

The non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s donated the vest to the Duluth Police Department which will be delivered in 8-10 weeks and embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of K9 Haas, Duluth Police Department, MN”.

Duluth Police K9 Haas was killed in the line of duty in January of 2019 while responding to a domestic assault with a weapon call on West Skyline Parkway. Since his death, many fundraisers have happened and several vests have been donated in the K9's honor.
