Employees and patrons alike were greeted today by a note taped to the door saying the location was closed and instructing employees to return for their final paychecks. This news comes a few months after a previous round of closures that impacted the region.

The Duluth location was one of the stores closed today as Ovation, the parent company of Old Country Buffet, is dealing with bankruptcy. Beside the Duluth closure, the Mankato location was also closed. This leaves only the Burnsville location as the only active restaurant in the chain left in Minnesota, according to the company's website.

The Duluth location's closure comes after 25 years at the location in Miller Hill Mall.
