Duluth Fire Crews Respond To Smoke Coming From Under I-35

A crew from the Duluth Fire Department reported to a scene of smoke near Interstate 35 between the Can of Worms and Mesaba Avenue Friday morning.

MNDOT had issued a notice on their 511 website, indicating that the exit ramp to I-35 southbound from Superior Street/Mesaba Avenue was closed temporarily due to an incident.

As of 9:40 am, traffic appears to be moving in the area, and the notice is no longer on MNDOT's website.

Smoke was seen coming from under the roadway and a handful of emergency response vehicles were on the scene for a time.
