Congrats to The Duluth Curling Club, every year they hold their annual House of Hearts Celebrity Bonspiel, to raise money for the St. Lukes Foundation. This year they raised over $28,000 to help replace 3 cardiac ECHO machines.

Each costs approximately $130,000. Read more about ECHO Machines here.

The 12-year total is $350,000!!! All the  donations go directly to the advancement of regional healthcare, not towards foundation expenses or overhead.

Olympians and Top Curlers like John Shuster, Aileen Sormunen, Chris Plys, and Courtney George acted as "celebrity skips" for the three-day event, with each captaining a different squad of amateur curlers in the tournament.

Curlers raising money get to pick their "skip" and play on a team. Donations are also collected to help raise money. This is the climax of the season and one of the last big weekend bonspiels of the season.
