In an effort to increase use of the Port Town Trolley service around the Canal Park area, the Duluth Transit Authority has taken away the fare for the service - making it free to ride.  The move is effective immediately.

Earlier this season, the DTA had stepped up their efforts with the trolley - adding to the route and decreasing the wait time in between pickups;  riders can now expect a trolley at each stop every 20 minutes.  The move is part of a larger effort to reduce traffic in the Canal Park by giving the trolley option to those who would utilize parking ramps and spots in other parts of the city - including the DECC.
