Douglas County is hiring!  The county's Emergency Management/Communications Center is looking to add to their staff - hiring full time dispatchers.  Applicants would become part of a pool of candidates that could advance on after passing a mandatory entry-level audio-keyboarding exam.

So what does a dispatcher for Douglas County do?  Well, they're the staff that receives emergency and routine calls and dispatches police, fire and other public safety and service personnel and equipment in a coordinated manner using a computer assisted information and telecommunications system.  The job is full time and pays a salary range of $19.41 - $22.18 per hour.
