We live in an area rich with natural beauty and resources. From trees and woodland to lakes and streams, we are lucky that we get the chance to recreate close to home.  As the organization tasked with regulating the use of these items, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is looking to make plans for the next decade or two.  By establishing long range plans, they can most-effectively manage the resources we have.

As part of the process, the Minnesota DNR is looking for input from the general public.  This is your opportunity to make your thoughts and wishes known - but you need to act fast.  The DNR is accepting commentary through March 1 as part of their plans for Duluth area lakes and streams.  If you'd like to take part, you're asked to view the current plans at the DNR's Duluth office:  5351 N. Shore Drive;  office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.  If you need additional information or want to learn how you can leave your commentary, call 218-302-3267.
