Courtney Godfrey Says Goodbye To The Northland From Northland’s News Center

Every morning for the past two years I have been fortunate to visit with Courtney Godfrey from the Northland's News Center. Over that time we have been able to get to know each other and state opinions on news items.

Being her friend, I knew she was leaving before she announced it to the Northland. I was sad for a while, but over the time I had to wait to say anything, I learned where she was going and what a great opportunity it was for her.

One thing to say about Duluth media. Yes, there are a lot of new people and young people on TV and sometimes they are nervous and screw up. This area is a great area for training talent, with veterans on the radio and tv, someone wanting to move up to a major market can learn here and get better.

Courtney is one of those people who got better every day and will be one of many on a list of people that are in major markets and are polished from her time spent here.

Second, I want to wish Courtney good luck. She is someone who lives what she preaches. She is an honest, hard working, and sincere person. She is also not hard on the eyes.Most of all, she has talent that I know will carry her far. Except picking basketball brackets........she stinks!!!!

So, a personal message to Courtney. Thank you for the news, thank you for your help, and most of all, thank you for being such a good friend for the past couple years. I look forward to following your career too.
