Contest Promises Cash For Local Writers

An excellent opportunity for local writers is what the 2018 Writing Contest promises.  The annual event - sponsored by Lake Superior Writers - is looking for entrants in this years event, which is themed around "rescue" - either literally or metaphorically;  the interpretation is completely up to the writer to discern.

Submissions categories include Poetry (up to 3 poems), Short-Short Fiction (1 or 2 submissions of up to 500 words)m Short Fiction (a single submission of 1,500 - 5,000 words), and Creative Non-Fiction (1,500 - 5,000 words). There will be one winner in each category listed, each receiving a $250 cash prize and publication on the Lake Superior Writers website.

Deadline for the contest is April 1, 2018.  Members of Lake Superior Writers may enter for free;  all others will be assessed a $35 charge.
