Look for Boy Scouts and volunteers at your local grocery store on Saturday, October 28th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the "Scouting for Food" Food Drive. It's an opportune time to contribute directly. This annual fall event, hosted by CHUM and the Voyageurs Area Boy Scout Council, helps feed our hungry neighbors.

When you arrive at the store a Boy Scout will hand you a list of food items most needed at the food shelf. You can then purchase a few items from the list and leave them with the troops at the exit. Most Grocery stores have pre-made bags you can buy too. Also, you can contribute cash, in which the Chum Food Shelf can purchase groceries too.

Last year, over 8,000 pounds of food were donated...can we beat that?

Volunteers are needed, if you need more info or have time to donate call Scott at 218-727-2391.
