Celebrate Georgie The Sloth’s Birthday At The Lake Superior Zoo

I'd call Georgie cute (cuz I'm a mammal lover) until I see her nails.  She's in some serious need of a mani/pedi!  Especially because she has to look her best for her birthday party that you are invited to attend!

Sloths are a most unique animal.  When you think of a sloth you think S L O W, which is true, but there is so much more to learn.  The perfect place to do that is at the Lake Superior Zoo.  On Sunday, January 22 from 1:30-3:00p the LSZ will be throwing Georgie a birthday part in the Nocturnal Building.

You'll get to watch Georgie get her special birthday treat and if you're one of the first 30 people to her party you'll get a cupcake treat of your own to enjoy.  At 2:00 a zoo keeper will tell you a little more about Georgie's life and how a sloth lives.  For instance, they like to sleep hanging by their claws from tree branches.  I can't even stay upright when I fall asleep in a chair!

If you can't make it to the birthday party remember that on Fridays at the Lake Superior Zoo tickets are just $5 throughout the winter.  The animals would just love to see you!
