As the temperature dips and winter arrives in the Northland, it's the time of year that warm jackets, hats, and gloves become important.  That's precisely why local organizations usually target late fall for fundraising to make that happen.

A recent donation from St. Raphael's Knights of Columbus Council will allow the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Northland to make winter a little warmer for some folks in the Twin Ports.  The club was the recipient of 48 coats and a variety of winter hats - destined for a needy home.  The donation is the continuation of an annual donation by the Knights of Columbus to the cause.

Todd Johnson - the CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Northland had this to say about the donation:

St. Raphael’s Knights of Columbus has been incredibly generous to our local Boys & Girls Clubs over the years.  The donation of these winter coats and hats will impact the lives of our youth immeasurably. What a blessing it is to our Clubs and the youth who utilize our services to exist in such a giving community.
