Be A Part Of The Superior 4th Of July Cruise
There have been some changes to the festivities for the 4th of July in Superior and one of them is there will be no Dennis VanAlstine Memorial Car Show, but there will be something to replace it.
Organizers still want to get together but still practice safe distances. This year is the Superior 4th of July Cruise. No, that isn't a Vista Cruise. It's a car cruise. Due to the COVID-19 measures, the Cruise will travel around Superior and make a few stops then eventually ending at the Superior Fairgrounds to enjoy the fireworks.
During the tour, at the various stops, you will receive a ticket to be used for Prize Packages to be given away at the final stop. Prizes will include past event shirts and merchandise. You may also buy some of the past shirts and merchandise if you so choose for a discount.
This year everyone is invited to drive anything with a motor. The organizers are asking that if you know you are going to attend to check in on their Facebook page in order to get a rough number of people participating, but otherwise, everyone can show up before 6 pm at the Mariner Mall Parking Lot.
The organizers are also asking for non-perishable food items. You will receive additional tickets for each item donated. to go into the drawing held at the end of the cruise. You may also donate cash, with all food and money going to the Salvation Army. If you need help with some of the things they are in need of you can click here, but Peanut Butter, Shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste are being requested most.
