The Ashland County Sheriff's office recently posted a message on their Facebook page asking for any information the public may have on a missing person. They received a report of a vehicle that rolled over in the town of Gingles, which is just south of Ashland. This happened on the early morning of March 26. Deputies responded and found the vehicle, but no one was in the vehicle or near the accident scene.
They believe the driver of the vehicle was Kevin Rosin (32, from Odanah). They assume he left the scene. His phone was recovered in the vehicle. Deputies also suspect that alcohol could have been a factor in the crash, and Rosin may have been disoriented when he left the scene.
Kevin Rosin's family reported that he did not come home that morning and had not made contact with anyone. The Sheriff's office and other agencies have been conducting a search for the last several days and continues. They ask anyone that may have any information to call the Ashland Communications Center at 715-682-7023.
The Ashland County Sheriff's Office issued a status update on the morning of March 29 saying that search efforts are continuing. They appreciate the public's help and willingness to assist in searching, but caution that the terrain is dangerous and people may find themselves needing to be rescued. Terrain also can vary and it is much more difficult than it first appears. People should also respect private property, and also not disrupt any areas as fragile clues may be disturbed.
