When I lived in Massachusetts I met man named Terry who was to become a friend for many years. Terry was a pilot for Eastern Airlines. He also owned an electronics store. After introducing myself, I told him I needed to replace my  computer, and I needed advice.  Thirty minutes later I walked out with a new Mac Plus that trashed my budget for the next couple years. A Mac SE followed that, then as SE30 and on and on it went.  My relationship with Apple products has been a good one, and apparently I'm part of the rule, not the exception.  Below are some recent stats on Apple I thought you might enjoy viewing.

There's one iPhone sold for every two people being born today.

Apple sells more iPhones each year than there are cars sold worldwide.

Apple sell 123 iPhones every minute of the day.

Apple has sold 14.79 million iPads in less than one year.

Apple has sold 55,393 iPads each day since it went on sale in the U.S. on April 3, 2010..that's more iPads than the number of people you can fit inside Yankee Stadium Every Single Day.

Apple sells 2.47 iPods every second.

A Mac is sold every two seconds, that's 45,384 every day.

iTunes users are now renting and purchasing over 400,000 TV episodes and over 150,000 movies per day. Someone , somewhere, is renting and purchasing a movie from iTunes every minute of the day.

What a trip, and it all started in a garage.
