TSMWork to place the decking on one of the Twin Ports iconic bridges is done ahead of schedule.  The project on the Aerial Lift Bridge will wrap up in time for tomorrow mornings commute - a full two weeks ahead of the original estimated date for completion.

Crews have been busy replacing the decking on the bridge - a process that last occurred 60 years ago.  The new deck should extend the lifespan of the heavily-used structure.  The project cost an estimated $300,000.

At some point later this summer (after it warms up), another crew will take over on the bridge to finish up the last details.  Included as part of that work is a repainting job.
