5 Free Family Activities in Duluth Superior
There is nothing better than spending time with family. Being a family man myself, I put together a list of free family activities to do in the Twin Ports.

A family picnic is always fun especially in Canal Park. I know there are many playgrounds throughout the city to play in, but you get the best of both worlds at Playfront (Bayfront).

We are big movie watchers in my family and there is nothing better than sitting outside in beautiful Leif Erickson Park to enjoy some family movie time. Movies start between 8pm and 9pm and you can check out the list here. You do have to bring your own blankets and popcorn, but it's still a great time.

Living in the state of hockey, skating was always a family past time growing up and many families do it today. However in the the few spring/summer months we have, there's not a lot of places to go skating. At the Heritage Center in West End they have family skating every Wednesday from 2pm-4pm.

Having the biggest freshwater lake in the world, swimming is always an option. Lake Superior might be freezing, but you get used to the temperature after a while.

There are actually two concert series going on, one in Duluth and one in Superior. Duluth has the Chester Creek Series happening every Tuesday from 7pm-8:30pm outside at Chester Bowl Park. Superior features their Bayside Sounds Concerts, which generally happen on Wednesday nights at various locations around Superior.
