Drivers who use 10th Avenue East will need to find an alternative route starting May 13.  That's the date that work commences for a second summer along the hillside route.

The City of Duluth is rebuilding aging infrastructure that includes sanitary sewer and water main replacement, storm sewer improvements, and road and sidewalk reconstruction.

Ever-Green Energy (Duluth Steam) will have a contractor replacing the steam line from 3rd Street to 4th Street in the west boulevard of 10th Avenue East. New traffic signals will also be placed at the 3rd Street intersection.

This years project will go from the 3rd street intersection up to 5th street.  Last year, work reached from Superior Street to 3rd.

The public is advised to use alternate routes. The projected completion of this work is August of this year.
