If you haven’t been on YouTube recently, you may not have seen the site’s contribution to the holidays: snow!

Not only does the white stuff fall on search pages, but many videos have a little red snowflake on the right-hand side of the bottom bar.

Click the bar, and watch the snow rain down and pile up as the video plays. You can even swat the flakes away using your cursor — or click the red snowflake again to make it all go away, no snowblower required.

Of course you can apply the effect to traditional holiday scenes, but we’d rather use it on those lucky slobs spending Christmas in warm, sunny Hawaii. Serves them right for wearing bikinis instead of down parkas like the rest of us. Head over to YouTube to check out the festive snow effect now.
