When Do The Next Round Of Kwik Trips Open In The Twin Ports

It's hard to believe that a little over a year ago there were no Kwik Trips in the Twin Ports area. The Wisconsin-based chain opened nine locations in late 2014 and early 2015 - in Superior, Duluth, Hermantown, Cloquet, and Scanlon. Now store officials are gearing up to launch six additional locations - with the promise of more to come.

Many people have been following the progress of some of these new locations due to their prominant locations around town. Work has been progressing nicely on the Central Entrance (at the corner of Arlington Avenue) and Grand Avenue sites. Most of the others are also on well-traveled routes throughout the Twin Ports.

This latest installment of Kwik Trips will grow the companies presence to Moose Lake. Officials with the store confirm plans for a Two Harbors location and there is serious talk about a wave of stores for the Iron Range in the next year or two.

Here are the tentative opening dates for this latest round of Kwik Trips:

2128 E 2nd in Superior - already open

4805 Miller Trunk Highway in Hermantown, opening October 1

Central Entrance and Arlington Avenue in Duluth, opening October 15

Grand Avenue and Raleigh Street in West Duluth, opening October 29

Hammond Avenue in Superior, opening November 18

Near Interstate 35 in Moose Lake, opening November 30
