Twenty four miles of Townline Road - otherwise known as County State Aid Highway 16 - are set to see a new surface;  The project that begins Monday, July 26 represents the single largest paving project in Saint Louis County history.

Crews will embark on the $7.1 million dollar work that is being funded by the Transportation Sales Tax.

CSAH 16 connects the Iron Range to the North Shore and is considered a significant roadway in the State of Minnesota.

The highway will remain open to traffic but motorists should expect delays.  Rough surfaces and temporary lane closures are anticipated.
