Have you seen the truck pictured in the surveillance photo above? Superior Police believe that the late 1990's - early 2000's Chevrolet extended can truck was involved in a car break-in incident that occurred February 8th. The truck itself is a dark color, with a lighter-colored snowmobile in the box area and the rear passenger side window appears to have tape around it.
As reported in January, the Superior Police Department had been investigating a claim of someone impersonating an officer. After much investigation, they have determined that this allegation was unfounded.
Following a lead, the Duluth Police Department apprehended James Thomas Garasha - their Property Crimes Wanted Person Of The Week. On Friday morning, the police received a call that Garasha was at Fond Du Luth Casino. Officers arrived and arrested the suspect without incident. He was transported to the Saint Louis County Jail and booked on the felony warrant.
Since introducing the Property Crimes Wanted Person Of The Week, the Duluth Police Department has had much success, apprehending the last few suspects quickly after putting the word out. They are hoping for similar results this week.
