Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler is a busy man! Aside from trying to finish the band’s long-awaited new album and recovering from two broken teeth in a bathtub mishap, he is also getting in gear for another round of that American pastime of “yay or nay” known as ‘Americn Idol.’
Steven Tyler is “doing splendidly,” the Paraguayan dentist who treated the Aerosmith singer reports, and the band will perform Wednesday (Oct. 26) in the country’s capital of Asuncion, one day after a freak fall left him with a bloodied mouth that caused the postponement of a scheduled Tuesday gig there.
Anything can happen in the wild world of Aerosmith, so this news is subject to change until the record is actually in stores, but it looks like the band is back in the studio with Jack Douglas -- the legendary producer who helmed their classic '70s albums.
In a video message, bassist Tom Hamilton broke the news, calling Douglas “the guy who we worked with producing our best albums of the ’70s" and promising, "It’s really going to be cool. no one who knows more about the soul of this band and the creative heart of this band."
I was excited to see this tidbit of news today.
