Chalk one up for consistency.  Just a few short weeks into the second ice sculpture, Superior's Ice Project has had a so-called "minor setback".

According to The Ice Project's Facebook page, a few of the columns of this year's design collapsed due to accelerating winds.  Roger Hanson - the Ice Man  who has a three year contract with the City of Superior to build these sculptures said that even though the ice gave way, "the break way devices worked perfectly as expected, preventing any damage to cable towers".

Roger started this year's design a week or so before Christmas and has been battling this winters warm temperatures.
