Superior Water Light And Power Company Warns Customers Of Scam

Officials with the Superior, Water, Light & Power Company (SWL&P) are warning residents in Superior about a potential scam that is targeting their customers.

Yesterday, businesses began receiving calls from someone claiming to be from SWL&P.  The individual stated that the businesses' utility service would be disconnected due to missed payments.  They were then instructed to submit payment using a credit card or money order.  Upon checking, the phone number that they were calling from was registered in the State of Utah.  That number was 801-850-6807.

If you receive a similar call, please call 911 to report the situation to the Superior Police Department.
