The 25-year tradition of a Chemical-Free All-Night Graduation Party for Superior Senior High School is in danger.  The event costs more than $18,000 each year to put on and the account that funds it was empty at the start of the school year.  Officials with the party put the word out and now it appears that salavation might be coming from past graduates.

Terri Kalan with the Class of 1984 was the first to step up.  Kalan reached out to her former classmates via social media, started a Go Fund Me website and challenged other SHS classes to do the same thing.

According to the Superior Telegram:

The classes of 1975, 1994, 1982 and 1990 have risen to the challenge with GoFundMe sites of their own. The 1984 class was leading Thursday with $1,915 raised.

You can help.  If you want to make a donation, you can drop it off at the Superior High School or mail them to Project Graduation, Superior High School, 2600 Catlin Avenue, Superior, WI 54880.  Organizers are also looking for prizes and merchandise for the evening.
