Make your voice heard!  The Minnesota Department of Transportation is seeking input from the public on their statewide bicycle system plan.

The plan itself represents MNDOT's vision and goal for bicycle transportation in the state, implementation strategies, and performance measures to progress towards their goals.  MNDOT developed the plan through consultation with public, agency staff, and partners at the state, regional, and local levels.

The plan is scheduled to be finalized after November 16.  Before that date, the general public is invited to review the details and offer comments.  Various coffee shop chats are scheduled in November throughout the state.  Here is a list of those dates and locations:

  • November 2:  Grand Rapids – Bixby’s Itasca County Family YMCA, 400 River Road
  • November 2:  Mankato – Tandem Bagels, 200 E. Walnut Street
  • November 3:  Bemidji – Harmony Natural Foods Co-op, 302 Irvine Avenue NW
  • November 4:  Minneapolis – Freewheel Midtown Bike Center, 2834 19th Avenue S
  • November 5:  Rochester, People’s Food Co-op, 519 1st Avenue SW
