I've got to be honest:  I don't think I would try a single one of these ideas myself, even though they are pretty creative.  While researching a different topic, I recently found a list of ways to think outside the box and re purpose items you already have around the house.  This list of more than 50 backyard "life hacks" features something for everyone:  from kids to entertaining, gardening to landscaping.
