DESCRIPTION:Run a scenic course through Mankato's beautiful Minnesota River Valley\, the Red Jacket Trail\, historic Sibley Park and an exciting finish in the City Center. Experience big city amenities mixed with a small town feel and great hospitality. This is a perfect race for beginners up to seasoned racers. The Mankato Marathon is also a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. The second annual Mankato Marathon will be held on Saturday\, October 22\, 2011 and will have a maximum capacity of 5\,000 participants. Each race will have their own individual capacity limits. DESCRIPTION:Presented by:    TIME: Check-In begins at 9:30am\, Run begins at 11am    PLACE: Mont du Lac Recreation\, 3125 Mont du lac Drive\, Superior\, WI 54880    FEE: $25 Registration Fee\, $20 for Students (Current and valid Student ID must be presented upon pick up of race packet).  Registration includes race packet and a long sleeved\, tek race shirt.  (Shirts guaranteed for the first 150 registrants\, sizes based on availability)    EVENT DESCRIPTION: Come out to Mont du Lac and enjoy a day of exercise and fun.  This 5K run will start out going UP the hill followed by time spent on the beautiful trails.  Enjoy the fall colors and stay for an Oktoberfest Celebration after the run!          Registration available on site starting at 9:30am.

Betty Brasgala first created this women-only event to inspire women to “get off the sidelines”.
