Attention riders and carriage drivers: Join us for the 1st annual trail ride at the Bird Sanctuary, Bird Sanctuary Road in Solon Springs. Registration from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Riding starts at 9 a.m. and goes to 4 p.m. $20 fee waived if $100 or more in pledges which must be turned in at registration. Pledge forms can be picked at HSDC, 138 Moccasin Mike Road, (715) 398-6784. Lunch served by Hunters Ribs & chicken. Consent form required for riders under age 18. Current negative coggins required. Proceeds from the ride will benefit rescued animals such as the ones found in the small horse trailer last year and were dehydrated, malnourished and dying. These animals were cared for by the Humane Society of Douglas Co., Inc.
