Spring's in the air and the City of Duluth is doing some cleaning!  The Greater Downtown Council is reporting on a street sweeping project that could affect traffic on Thursday, April 9.

The City of Duluth Street Maintenance crews will be out sweeping the parking lanes of First, Second and Third Streets starting at 7:00 AM and working through the day. Streets will be marked as “No Parking” for the duration of the project.

Crews will start on East Third Street sweeping from 21st Avenue East to Mesaba Avenue. Crews will then tackle East Second Street between 24th and 12th Avenue East and finally East First Street between 21st and 12thth Avenue East.

Residents and downtown workers are asked to remove their vehicles in advance from the project area to assist the staff with the sweeping and to avoid a ticket.
