The final free landfill day of the year at the Superior Municipal Landfill happens this Saturday.  Don't miss your chance to get rid of that trash that's been collecting on your property.

Residents of the City of Superior are invited to bring their trash to the landfill on Moccasin Mike Road on Saturday, October 17.  Between the hours of 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM, property owners will be able to bring the following items to the landfill without a fee:

  • Household Trash.  (Regular fee: $10.00 minimum, $53.00/ton)
  • Brush.  (Regular fee: $5.00/pickup, $10.00/pickup + trailer)
  • Tires:  5 free per residence, 18” or smaller.  (Regular fees: $3.00/off rim, $4.00/on rim)
  • Grass clippings, leaves, used motor oil.  These items are collected free year-round

The landfill will also accept mattress and box springs, but the regular fees for these items apply.  The Superior Municipal Landfill will accept completely dry and fairly clean mattresses for $10.00;  They'll be collected for only $13.00 each if damp, wet, or heavily soiled.
