Take a Ride on the Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad

Recently Mrs. Rayman, my brother in law Rick, and Gus went for a ride on the Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad train. The route the train took was scenic, and everyone had a wonderful time. The coolest part of the whole trip though, was the kindness of the entire crew. The engineer and conductor were Gus's favorite, he still talks about them. They went out of their way to insure that everyone had a wonderful time.

Keith Richard’s Childrens Book ‘Gus and Me- The Story of My Granddad and My First Guitar’ Hits the Stores Today

I'm really excited about this book for a couple reasons. First, I'm a huge Rolling Stones fan and have been since I was a kid, Plus, my grandson's name is Gus, so me ordering the book was pretty much a given.  I had a chance to read  the sneaks, and if you happen to be  a granddad, or, soon to be, I encourage you to get the book. It's refreshing to see a side of Keith few people realize he has. The book is available today, September 9th.

Living The Blues, Canned Heat’s Story of Music, Drugs, Death, Sex and Survival [REVIEW)

Over the years I've read hundreds of books on music, but in all honesty, this is by far the best, and most thorough I've ever read. Where many other band books may briefly touch on the dark side of music, my friend, Fito de la Parra holds nothing back. He tells it exactly as it was, with brutal honesty.

It’s Blueberry Pickin Time in Wisconsin

I

I'm not quite sure where the wild blueberries are in Minnesota, but it's time for pickin in Wisconsin for sure! It's a fact that wild blueberries have a more intense flavor than those found at your favorite supermarket, and when you do the picking, you'll save money as well, plus, it's fun!

Me’shell Ndegeocello’s New Album ‘Comet’ A Hit [REVIEW] [VIDEO]

If you happen to be a fan of John Mellencamp, you may remember Meshell Ndegeocello, the singer-bassist who first bent mainstream ears 20 years ago when she joined John Mellencamp for a hit cover of "Wild Night" by Van Morrison. I had occasion to see her, and was impressed not only by her vocals, but also the way she man handled that bass.

Barry Gibb, The Last Brother [VIDEO]

I recently read Josh Eells article on Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees in this month's issue of Rolling Stone. Although I admit to not being a huge fan of the Bee Gees, I do have my favorites such as their first hit, New York Mining Disaster, and Every Christian Lion Hearted Man Will Show You, among them, I found the article  on Barry Gibb most interesting.
