You either love it or hate it;  It seems that everyone has an opinion on black licorice.  Apparently so does the Food and Drug Administration;  Just in time for candy season, they're warning people not to eat too much of it.

Researchers have linked black licorice to an irregular heartbeat. Experts say it contains a sweetening compound that can lower potassium levels.

“If you already have heart disease or high blood pressure then you should be a little more cognizant of how you're feeling if you're eating this kind of licorice and stop eating it if you think you notice any type of irregular heartbeats,” Kate Patton with Cleveland Clinic said.

So how much is too much?  Studies show that at little as two-ounces a day for two weeks can be too much.
