Authorities Warn Wanted Fugitive Could Be Hiding In Wisconsin Campgrounds
The U.S. Marshals Service is warning Wisconsin campground goers to be on the lookout for a man wanted in connection with second-degree sexual assault, strangulation, rape, and suffocation charges.
33-year old Dallas Christel is considered armed, dangerous, and "very violent". His criminal record include domestic abuse, narcotics, and more. His most-recent charges occurred in New Holstein, Wisconsin. A bench warrant is in effect from Calumet County.
Authorities suggest that Christel has ties to Colorado and Michigan, but believe that he is probably hiding out in campgrounds in Wisconsin. His background and interests include being a "naturalist" - which has spurred law enforcement theories about using campgrounds as hiding places.
Christel's described appearance include numerous piercings and tattoos of skulls, stars, and spiderwebs. The most visible tattoo is a star with a circle on the left side of his neck. His hair was dyed green at the time of his last mugshot.
If you encounter Christel, you're asked to immediately contact law enforcement authorities.
