Steve Tanko

Here's more than you ever cared to know about me.

I'm a "lifer".  ...Born and raised on Minnesota's Iron Range...moving to the Twin Ports area 20 years ago.

I've worked for these radio stations for18 years and love every minute of it.  Although you hear me on the radio during the mid-day, my main role is Production Manager for our stations - writing and producing commercials.

In my spare time (what's that??)  I'm married with one child.  I'm active in my son's school and volunteer in the community.  I love to cook and have collected records for my entire life.  Although I spin "the Super Hits Of The Northland" on the radio, my collection is mostly comprised of classic country.   I'm also interested in business and economics.

Thanks for listening!!

Rethink the Way You Eat Chinese Takeout

Okay, so this has been making the rounds on the web for the last day or so - and as the resident "foodie", I thought I would pass it along to you.  A new story online suggests that we've all been eating Chinese takeout the wrong way;  The blog suggests that instead of eating our food out of those deep containers, we should "unfold" the paper vessel to create a make-shift plate - with a larger surface area.
