I’m a proud life-long resident of the Northland: Born and raised on the Iron Range, I’ve lived in the Twin Ports all of my adult years. I enjoy the fact that we get to enjoy all four seasons and I love the natural beauty that our area provides. I’m worked for the company that owns KOOL 101.7 since 1993 and I enjoy the fact that no two days are ever the same. Although you hear me on the radio during the mid-day shift, my mail role is Production Manager for our stations – writing and producing the commercials you hear. I’m married with one son. In my spare time (what is that?) I enjoy cooking, collecting records (primarily classic country), studying history and politics and being involved in the community on a variety of boards and committees.

Duluth Air Force Veteran Nets $102,000 Following VA Mistake

An injured Duluth Air Force veteran has received compensation from the Veterans Administration after getting help from the St. Louis County Veterans Service Office.  The veteran who asked not to be identified recently received payment due to a back injury that caused permanent mobility issues.  The check totals $102,000.

Railroad Work To Close Intersection Of Highways 7 And 101

The CN Railroad will be doing repair work on a railroad crossing that travels through the intersection of Highway 7 and 101 starting Monday, November 28.  In order to allow the crews the opportunity to complete the job, traffic will be impacted for a few days - according to St. Louis County officials.
