Paul McCartney Joins Campaign to Save Twickenham Film Studios
London’s Twickenham Film Studios, used for movies like the Beatles‘ ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ and ‘Help!’ as well as many modern flicks, has run into financial trouble and faces closure just one year shy of its 100th anniversary.
Now many luminaries, including Sir Paul McCartney himself, have joined a campaign to save the legendary facility.
Weekend Box Office – ‘Think Like a Man’ Takes Over at No. 1 for ‘The Hunger Games’
‘Think Like a Man,’ the movie inspired by comedian Steve Harvey’s self-help book, has finally done what no movie in the past five weeks could — with $33 million in earnings, it toppled ‘The Hunger Games’ from its spot at the top of the weekend box office charts.

Canada recently announced it would be phasing out its version of the penny, and since producing a US penny actually costs more than one is worth, some have called for similar action stateside. But one particular penny has far exceeded its face value, selling for over $1 million at auction.
