Before there were the Beatles, Richard Starkey was a group called Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. The drummer, who would go on to change his name to Ringo Starr, recorded with the band before joining the Fab Four, and now some of those early recordings have surfaced after more than 50 years.
The Rolling Stones‘ Mick Jagger hinted earlier this year that “autumn” would be the next time he thought we’d see the band onstage. It now looks as though that prediction is pretty spot on, as Billboard reports that the band are in the process of lining up four performances later this year.
Van Halen guitarist Eddie Van Halen is reportedly doing well after undergoing emergency surgery for diverticulitis. According to the band’s official Facebook page, the guitar great was suffering from a severe bout of the condition and underwent surgery to alleviate the pain.
