Aerial Lift Bridge Begins Summer Hours, You May Get “Bridged” This Summer

When most people think of Duluth, they think of the boats and the Aerial lift bridge. The bridge keeps different hours for Summer and for Winter.This Friday, the Aerial Lift Bridge will begin its summer lift schedule. This is to keep up with all the sail boats so there isn't any traffic under the bridge when the big ships come through.

The Bridge will lift on the hour and half hour from 7 am to 9 pm every day until the Tuesday after Labor Day. The Aerial Lift Bridge will lift upon request for government water vessels, emergency requests, and for vessels larger than 300 gross tons.
